A table with the most ordinary heights is given for nearly all the types of packagings, even if it must be considered that not all the heights are available for the different closing systems.

Before using a type-approved packaging, it is however usuful to verify :

• that the regulation related to the sea freight, road haulage allows its use for the goods to be conditioned in it;
• that the kind of approval is compatible with the characteristics of the goods to be conditioned.

It is worth to stress that the law imposes restrictions on the use of packagings with removable lids for sea and air freight and, in some cases, easy terms and exemptions are granted for the delivery of dangerous goods in small quantity.
